So...you thought at age 60 you would be sitting home in your rocking chair reading to your grandchildren, walking to the park with a bag of popcorn in your hand to feed the pigeons, going to the bank every day to make sure your savings account is getting the right amount of interest, or just going to the local church to play Bingo every other night…
Well, let me just tell you something about one of these 60-something year olds… She might be going to the bank every day, but it’s not for counting the interest on her savings account.
Edie (Hayward) Ferrario has turned her passion for Italian cooking into a new career! She has written a cookbook of authentic and imaginative recipes of Italian food--A cookbook entitled “Italian Food and Travel with Pasta Mama”. Not only did Edie write a cookbook on Italian cooking at age 62, but she also started a cooking school at age 65. ”Whew!" Does this sound like the same Edie we all knew in high school?
The cookbook contains 126 recipes from appetizers to desserts. It also contains a list of restaurants from the areas of Italy that Edie and her husband “Tista” visited.
I was so impressed and intrigued with Edie's venture that my new bride Sharon and myself are taking a weekend off to see for ourselves what Edie and her husband Tista have done.
If you would like to order a copy of Edie’s cookbook, you can e-mail her @ eandjferrario@charter.net, you can also see her web site @ www.cucinadolce.com there you will see all the latest news and I think you might even get a glimpse of one of Edie's recipe's
Or…you can call her @ (541) 858-9431 to get your copy.
The book was first published in September of 2005.
